Went for a bike fit session with Leo last night. Had videos taken of me on the bike and then got my bike adjusted, seat moved forward and lowered and handle bars dropped. Very interesting science stuff about vectors, centres of gravity, knee opening etc. Leo specialises in body mechanics not any particular sport. Just studying how the body works and how to make the most efficient use of the body.
I went because I was getting pain behind my left knee every winter when I increase the amount of time I'm on the bike. I was examined and have been perscribed exercises to sort out the nerves in my legs.
Session lasted for 1 hour 30 minutes. Cost £60. Dromara CC members can get get it for £55 if you show your UCI card. Well worth doing I think.
I'll let you know how I get on over the next few weeks.

Had a session with Leo at the start of the year, couldn't get comfortable with back and shoulder ache/pain during long rides despite setting up the "ideal" position and then trying variations.
Leo set me up with a higher and more forward postion with a shorter stem on my race bike, and he also set up my training bike with the best "available" position for time trials using clip on aero bars. Was it worth it....the proof was on the road and as soon as I finished my first ride I knew it was so much better, and in the long term I have had no more aches/pains.
So I would highly recommend a fit with Leo if you have any issues with your position and are having difficulity getting it sorted, or even if you just want to get a proper aero position on them there fancy tt bikes you have all spent a fortune on :-)

sammy, the bike fit was to get me comfortable and put less stress on old football injuries, back and shoulder, not an easy thing to do and with a big gut getting in the way, if you happened to think i was goin a bit better one night there then it must have been a tailwind or downhill
