Hey, anyone got any steer on travel insurance to cover bike transport and the usual med cover - usually go for the Post Office but they have changed their terms and conditions and don't do bikes.....cheers

Peter, I work in insurance. I had a quick look and most policies seem to exclude bikes. If you have "personal possessions" cover with your household insurance it should be covered on a worldwide basis. I just checked and mine is. If it exceeds the "single article limit" (usually £1,000 or so) it will need to be specified. Worth a phone call to check.

Just found this crowd, not recommending - so don't blame me if there is something in the small print. Good to know someone still covers bikes and they are not too expensive - I'll check out the home insurance first www.snowcard.co.uk
