Ted McKibbin was involved in an accident at today's Magherafelt GP. Crash in the bunch. Ted avoided but hit the windscreen of an oncoming car. Taken to Antrim Area Hospital. Has been transferred to Belfast. I'll update when I know more.

Sad news I'm afraid. Ted has been paralysed from the waist down. I got to see him this evening in the hospital. He was in good spirits considering. For those of you who know Ted well you will know his fighter attitude.
He did thank those who helped him today. I relayed the well wishes I have received to pass onto him. We should spare a thought for the motorist who was involved.
A sad day for the club. It could of course have been worse news and Ted is keen to point that out.

Shocking and sad news, I hope Ted has a full recovery, it's early days with injuries like that.
Ted certainly has the fighting spirit and fortitude to deal with it if there is anything positive to take out of this.

If anyone gets the chance to see Ted, tell him Nicolas Roche was asking about him on Twitter. This could possibly cheer him up!

Ted, Margaret & his entire family have been constantly in my thoughts since hearing the awful news last night, a great friend to many in Dromara cc as well as LLRCC, the midweek crew at La Lanterne Rouge enjoyed his company & banter on the Wednesday/Friday runs, like everyone I just hope Ted & his family can find the strength from somewhere to help them cope with this cruel blow.
