Looking for a bike for the 10ish mile commute.
Any thoughts on this.
Been looking on gumtree for something second hand. Or pushing the boat out on something new.
£300 max spend.
Carrera tdf from halfords /
Triban 3 from decathlon?
Don't expect too much for this sort of money but any help would be appreciated.

There's a ribble winter bike on gumtree atm. Mate has a red btwin from decathlon £300 plus £20 for full mudguards. Class wee bike for money with shimano sti.

Decathlon used to do a wee mtb style hybrid singlespeed for 80 or 90 quid that would be pretty ideal to save money.
My pompino is my own ideal commuter. Nothing fancy, just keeps going and going and going.

The ribble is an excellent shout if you wanna have many gears and get more road miles in.

£90 9 speed Tigra/105 mix, Pro Lite wheels. Been used as a winter trainer and commute to work in summer.
Decided to buy a good old steel frame. Hope to have it built in a couple of weeks.
