Just 3 of us out last night. John S, Davy Y and me. Nice evening, dry with light wind. Nippy though.
Set off late (my fault!), steady pace, crossed over the bridge, quick burst around the path towards the Giant's Ring. Across it, down Ronan's route (with new paths!), onto Shaw's bridge and into the trees. Nice burst through there. Missing Kyle, Gibson and Alan chasing up the hills. At vomit hill I left John to set his Strava time while Davy Y and I struggled up the climb. Quick spin around the loop with John passing me on the last climb back to the car park.
As we started late we skipped the Stranmillis run. Pushed on for Cardiac Hill with John shooting off up it, again to set a Strava time!! Dave Y and I were a might slower.
Down through the trees and back to the path. Davy Y kept apologising for holding us back. Closer to home Davy insisted we head on without him. He was fading at this point and I knew he'd be turning up home at Lambeg. John and I kept it steady. No sprints at the end. Just not the same without the rest of the nutters!!
Looking forward to next week.
