Travelled down to the Fixx supercross round on sunday past there, in search of a quick fix to the disaster at moira. Went with JoeH and AlexD from Phoenix, they even let me wear the dromara jersey in the car. Good lads!
Had a good race, wasn't gridded obviously as it was my first appearance in the series, but got away on a decent enough start and made my way through the field on the first few laps. The pace was relentless, easily the fastest course I have raced yet. Strangely there were no dismount sections but some technical and "spongy" whoops up and down through a wooded section. Ended up 13th which I was very happy with. The field was very strong and nobody was giving an inch even down in those placings.
Anyway - Here is some footage of lap 4 where I had made it up to this strong bunch of guys and had to tussle with them for a lap to try and push on. They never let me out of sight though and it made for a savage hard push for the remaining 5 laps. Great training.

Barry, I watched this last night. How much did you have to pay the camera man to follow you around??? Great work on what looked like a very different course to Moira Park. Lots of hard packed sections, relentless pace. Odd not having a dismount section. I had thought this was part of the nature of the sport??

They still haven't ammended it. They didnt get me down for my first lap as I came through (at breakneck speed!!!) in a bunch of about 6 men - they've put my first two laps together as my lap1 time It still says provisional on the results but its published on sticky bottle now,so thats my chance of attracting a sponsor gone i suppose Have a word will ya! There were a lot of broken Mechs in the B race down there, a good few gravel sections which helped, but some real clog fest bits too! It was an insane fast course which is maybe why the boards weren't deployed as anywhere they could have put them was at points where the speed was lifting to road race levels!
