Great video Fritz yet again!
Superb race yesterday, amazing course for CX racing and really well laid out.
Had a much better race than the previous week, got a good start, blew after about 2 laps at that pace but recovered sufficiently to beat a couple of marked men from the previous round!

Many thanks Fritz for the video, super as always. I had made a last minute decision to enter the MTB support race just before going to sleep on Saturday night/early hours Sunday morning. I only just got back on the bike on Friday after a month off due to injury. I commuted to work on the Friday (the distance felt a lot longer than I remembered), then got the chance to play on the trails around Tollymore Outdoor centre on Saturday so I was thinking that Sunday's race should be more of a spin to stretch the legs in preparation for a proper return to racing. I deliberately started at the back of the bunch of just over 30. But that course seemed to suit me and it wasn't long before I started to pick off riders. This went on, lap after lap, as I moved up the positions. Each lap I expected to blow up, but didn't. I caught up with the Friday night racers and passed Ronan, Peter, Gibson, and Garry. I got onto the back to Brian W's wheel and just sat there (eating mud!) trying to pace myself. Brian and I went past John S who then jumped on the back to make a 3 man Dromara train. I hadn't expected to sit with Brian who must not have been having a good race. I see he retired mid way I dug deep to drop John S and then pushed on through the mud. On the home straight I was lapped by the winner Robbie Lamont which meant I finished a lap earlier. Thank you Robbie The NDCC guys made great use of the land they had. Well done to them. I'm now looking forward to Lady Dixon next Sunday

Was surprised by the course yesterday much better than expected.
Martin was going very well for a man who hasn't been on a bike for a month!!! Tried to stay on his wheel for a while after he went past Brian but he was a man on a mission so decided to let him go on in the hope he would blow up in the last few laps. I was staying in front of Brian until he decided to ride into a piece of marker tape and clog up his gears.
How the tape got on the course is still a mystery

I wonder John!! Great to see Martin on the up again and back posting. His poor wife, it must of been hell for the month or so of he was out injured. If you hadn't of ran so much of the summer league course your knee would have been ok.
