Don't forget to pre-enter the nationals BEFORE Wednesday 13 July 2011 8pm if you are intending to enter the Elite, Junior, Vets, Masters etc.
For the other races (S3, S4, youth) you can either pre-enter or register on the day.

Here Martin - Whats the pace gonna be like in that Masters category? I am now old enough to qualify! I don't want to be getting lapped and pulled out of the race like!!

Barry, nothing you can't handle. You should do well in Masters, top half easy, top 10 doable, top 5 if it all goes well for you and the course is to your liking.

Yeez, thanks Barry. Now why do the words to "Full Metal Jacket" pop into my head.... If I die in the combat zone at the nationals Box me up and ship me home Pin my medals upon my chest Tell my Mom I done my best Bury my body to six foot down 'til you hear it hit the ground When it hits the bottom you'll hear me say - I wanna be your drill instructor a mountain biker.... Bring on the pain!

Great day at the nationals. Super course. Fast, tricky in places. Didn't go near the Tombstone apart from look down it. Some poor guy nose dived off it. Neck and shoulder injuries suspected. Waiting to hear.
Barry got a puncture on his last lap Zak got a mechanical Ben completed his course. I got round in top 10 I think
Waiting for our race results to appear.
I'm working on the photos now.

But at the same time It was a great course and i was happy with the ride I had put in so its not all bad. I wasn't ever gonna win it but top 10 would have been nice. Least I know I can possibly do it now. That 4th lap was tough though when you arent used to it. Made silly mistakes and one ultimately led to the puncture. Not to worry!

Rear mech and back derailleur was wrecked...rear mechs bent and back derailleur got stuck in the spokes Olympic standard course-fast flowing and good technical sections, especially the drop off in the main forest and the Tombstone (which I rode ;D) scary stuff that tombstone, literally at an angle of 90 degrees
