Friday the 17th August is the Shimna Wheelers Dundrum Road 10 mile time trial. Sign on is at 6.30pm at Mount Panther on the Dundrum Road. For Dromara riders this would be seen as a pancake flat TT on a good surface. PB,s, SB,s potential. TT goes from Mount Panther to Newcastle and back. Shimna are also running a time trial on Monday 3rd September which will take place in Castlewellan the infamous Mill Hill climb. Registration at 6.30pm meeting at the upper square. PS There is also a run on the same course before the TT ran by Newcastle Athletic Club( The Mill Hill Mile). What about doing both? This might appeal to the more complete athlete though. Step forward Gary Bailie.

I don't think this is appropriate "tapering" in preparation for the champs race on the sunday...
But anyway... I might do this, anyone else?

The time trial along the Dundrum Road was windy going past the bay but pretty flat. Good turn out from Dromara CC. Most importantly everybody got finished while the weather was good, just before the signature downpour which has accompanied most time trials this summer! Thanks to Marty McVeigh and all at Shimna Wheelers.
