If you are a mountain biker who enjoys the wilderness, getting away from it all whilst discovering new terrain read on.......
26 Extreme are pleased to announce that the Lakeland Warrior MTB Marathons, will take place once again from Gortatole OEC, Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland on Sunday 26 August 2012.
There will be two distance options on the day - 100km and 60km, both talking place on tracks and trails through large expanses of forested area. The route of the event is testing with few flat sections throughout. Full route details including elevation and distances can be found here - connect.garmin.com/activity/105412455
In both events competitors will pass through some of the most scenic areas in Co Fermanagh and through an area of forest wilderness that few ever venture into. The entire route is on either gravel path or tarmac surface and, as with all 26 Extreme events, there will be a high level of support and feed stations en route. It should be noted that the challenge in this event is in the distance and not in the technicality of the terrain or tracks.
All participants in the event will be chipped timed and we will provide split times and finish times for everyone after the event.Full details on the event along with details on how to enter this fantastic event can be found by clicking on the website page - LAKELAND WARRIOR MTB MARATHON
