yes martin i was , on the scarva climb out of banbridge there was a dead bird on the road ( looked like it been there for months) and the person infront decided to jam the brakes on and swerve which caused me to land over the handle bar! just cut sore and bruised but was ok to continue on! there was some wild bit of riding out there mostly members of clubs who should know better!! there was quite a few accidents hope no1 was seriously hurt. i do hope your refering to me as hopefully no1 else in club was involved in 1.

Martin .... The only accident I knew about was when my group passed an accident outside Dundalk .... There were medics, 1 guy on a spinal board and another sitting down. I didn't recognise/ nor could see any specific club kit. I didn't hear anything more about it. I thoroughly enjoyed the maracycle. It was great event, I really enjoyed the bizz with the other cyclists on the journeys and in DCU! - was fun reliving my student days! There wasn't many DCC cyclists. I met Marty at lunch ;-) (sorry to hear you had an accident, hope you are ok  I cycled past and said Hi to 1 more Dromara jersey but I didn't recognise him.... |
