After upgrading the old hack club league bike to 10 speed shimano and moving my old 9 speed stuff over to the cross bike, I have been having terrible difficulties getting the rear shifting precise. It's affecting my TT times badly I've recabled, put a new mech hanger on and micro adjusted this thing to within an inch of it's life. I am now convinced the mech cage is misaligned and has been since it came out of the box. It would definitley make sense as shifting is crisp for the very smallest cassette sprockets but vague and jumping in between from the top half of the block up to the bigger sprockets. So what I need is the lend of a Shimano 10 speed 105 or ultegra rear mech (Short cage. 5700 or 6700 model) - just to be 100% sure before I shed another £50 on a new mech. Anyone got one sitting spare!?

You can take the RD off my bike after Thursday night and try it. I agree with you (for once )sounds like a bend somewhere or a chain and cassette not meshing properly.

Cheers men. I'm away from Thursday til Sunday afternoon to Poland, so Sunday evening onwards if possible. If Gavin has one not set up it might be handier Bryce? But I have no qualms about stripping your yoke down for parts if need be ;-)
