Great nights racing in really poor weather conditions. Well done Tony! Special thanks to all the timekeepers, Martin, Ivan and especially all the marshals who did a really great job of keeping every corner clear in really cold, miserable conditions. Much appreciated.

What a rotten night for cycling Wet, windy miserable start. It actually started to clear when the event was over. Many thanks to the timekeepers Colin and Kyle and to the marshals who came out in force to ensure a safe race: Roisin and Phillip Wilson, Stephen Y, Malcolm MacD, Paul G, Massimo & daughter, Kevin and Bobby, Tommy, Gary B and Ryan M. Also thanks to Ivan B for the motorbike support and to Brian Winters for helping around the start/finish area. A big thanks to the Elim church who kindly let us use their car park. Only two groups out. A group 3 and 4 combo not sure what went on there and a scratch group. 32 mental cases out. Not wise the lot of you. Out of the 32 we had 13 retirements. A few had punctures, others were punctured... All came down to a two man race between Gavin and Anthony. With Gavin having mechnical problems Anthony sailed home to a solo win. Well done Anthony and to all those who turned up to race. Results here Gloomy photos here www.flickr.com/photos/34727847@N04/sets/72157629908126657/

Thanks to all the marshals, timekeepers etc. great job, well done. What terrible weather to be standing at a static point all night Hard race from the start, thought my race was over when the chain came off managed to get it back on and found I really didn't have the legs for it tonight. It took a lap or two to sort out the group. Very strong riding from Big John, (you are in the black book now big fella after that damaging surge on the last lap ) Trevor, Johann & Johnny McB but for me ride of the night was the chairman. He has been complaining for weeks that he has no legs, but last night, in strong winds and heavy rain, he greatly contributed to the group work. At about halfway we were stalled by a rider in front of us and lost the group. He did a huge amount of work, with me in tow unable to contribute, and after approx. half a lap he closed the gap. Well done Pete Also well done to Bryce - first race and demonstrated very strong riding. Need the handicaps sorted for the next race.... scratch are too quick for the rest of us now well done Anthony great win.

Horrendous night for to be doin anything, never mind riding the bike... definitely need to shout a massive thanks to all the marshals, especially Ivan... couldn’t have been enjoyable – thanks to all. Totally agree with tha aul badger, Pete more than took his turn on the front, but as I said before, it’s not him, it’s the bike (aaaahem... motor!). Great to see Big John Clydesdale, gettin stronger in the road racing, but for me the 2 that really stood out was Trevor and Jonny McBride, excellent ride by both.
