Got a text from Colin to say that someone has left tacks on the tow path near the footbridge which crosses over to the Giant's Ring.
Please spread the word.

Tow path run on tonight again. I'm missing this one AGAIN. I tried but I couldn't persuade my work & clients to reschedule a 2 day briefing to avoid Thursdays. I'm stuck in Dublin, inside, and out the window I can see golfers enjoying the weather. What a great day for the bike.

Another great night for our run down the Tow path, 12 oC, no wind and dry. Gibson, Ronan, John S, Stefan, Bobby and I made It six.
We left the Civic centre at about 7.05, Bobby and I were leading and setting a fast pace. We kept a good pace until we got to our usual pit stop. I asked if anyone else wanted to lead as I thought we might have been going to hard, Ronan stepped up o the mark. I need not have worried Ronan and Bobby lead us to the footbridge at an equally fast pace.
All over the bridge, Gibson led up to the giants ring. After another brief discussion we decided against the sprint. We meandered across the ring and took Ronans route to Minnowburn. I led up through the trees and round our usuall course. Gibson shot off up the climb before vomit ridge, John went to his left I went right and ended up on the grass, John was first with Gibson second. Vomit Ridge was a four horse race, Gibson, Ronan, John and myseif, Gibson conceeded halfway up. It was then John went for the jump, I managed to sit on his wheel and passed him before the corner, I made sure Iwas first to the carpark this time, John second Ronan third, Gibson and Stefan were only seconds behind.
All up, no stopping we were off round the loop. Another quick run through the trees, Im not sure if I was challenged on the return to the carpark, al I know is I pushed like hell and John was on my wheel, Ill claim the win anyway lol.
Nice spin out to Stranmillis and through the meadows. We took the grass route, regrouped and off through the dips. I was first through, John second I think Gibson was third, Stefan and Ronan yet again were only seconds behind.
No hanging about we were off to Cardiac hill. Gibson asked me if I wanted to be the first up every climb tonight " ahemm yea" was my reply. John was second,Gibson third,Ronan fourth and well I was first yippee!!!! Still no pausing past the shadow men, I counted seven out to night. we had a nice quick run to the running track and we all successfully got through the dip at the BMX track.
I was happy coasting home until Ronan noted that we were a whole minute quicker than last week, that was it,Gibson and I were up front trying to set a blistering pace and it was only just before Lambeg we realised we had dropped the group. We could see their lights so eased off. Stefan left at Lambeg and we made it back to the cars with Ronans minute on the clock.
Yet again fantastic run, maybe Martin could confirm if that is the last untill the Autumn. Bring on the upcoming tt's.
