A great first meeting with the organisers of the Tour of the North this evening. There were 6 committee members in attendance. Dromara CC have been given the opportunity to support this race by supplying bodies for marshalling and grub for the hungry riders, marshals, race support staff etc on Saturday 7 April (Easter Saturday). [Apart from helping out our sport we are also being offered lots of other benefits for this support by the organisers.] Route to be announced shortly but it will be in the County Down area. We are looking for support early on for this so please email me if you can help on that day. Full details to follow. martin@dromaracc.co.ukThanks in advance

I know a lot more have volunteered for this We are hoping to provide tea & coffee before the start of the race therefore if anyone can come to Rathfriland for 10am their help would be much appreciated. The riders are due to ride out from 10:45 and are due back at 2pm. DCC are then providing soup & rolls & snacks and other refreshments afterwards.

Hi Deek, I have high viz vests etc in my car (which I managed to lock the keys in last nite - disaster!!) I can drop them over to you this evening if that helps, it would get it out of the way before the mornin. Also, my daughter will come along tomorrow and help and Matt Adair will be with us, so he can help us or you, wherever he's needed. Hope the jnr apprentice got on OK
