Youth Camp - For Under 14s

Cycling Ulster's Off-road commission in association with Xmtb McConvey Cycles, Dromara Cycling Club and Banbridge Cycling Club have come together to put on a series of off-road skills sessions for Under 14s.

All six sessions will happen on Monday evenings between 7 and 8:30 pm and will be located in Belfast, Lisburn and Craigavon with the first session on Monday 25 July 2011 at Belvoir Activity Centre in Belfast.

Price per rider £2

All riders must have a current Cycling Ireland licence.
Licences can be obtained on the night price £5 which covers the rider under the end of December 2011 (For those riders born in 1997 - 2003).

Register your interest in coming along by completing our registration page.
No payment taken. This will just help the organisers estimate the number taking part.

Volunteers welcome from the club to help out for two evenings. Full instruction will be provided. It'll be a bit like our Children's Gymkhana although with more....!

Contact me to let me know if you can help on Monday 8 and 15 August. Venue to be decided but somewhere in Lisburn.

Starts tonight

Great first night. 23 young riders showed up, mostly from the Under 8s and Under 10s group. Warm evening. Good location. I took the Under 10s for some coaching sessions on starts, braking, obstacles, slow riding, and ramps.

All finished off with a drink, crisps and a chocolate bar!

All youth (under 14s) invited again next week. You don't have to have attended week 1. You are asked to pre-register your interest.
