From the WDW board..... West Down Wheelers for the second year running are hosting the Tour of Down Sportive Cycling Challenge on Saturday 18th February 2012. This year there are two planned groups, the first departing at 10.00am the second at 10.15am. The event will start and finish at Katesbridge with sign-on from 9.00am. Changing facilities, toilets and car parking at the hall, toilets and parking on the opposite side of the main Katesbridge Road at the picnic park. The planned route is from Katesbridge through Castlewellan, Newcastle, Annalong, Ballymartin, Kilkeel, Rostrevor, up the Newtown road to Hilltown, Castlewellan and finishes at Katesbridge. Total Distance = 62 mile. Map details of the event can be found on www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/65799608The normal refreshments will be served at the end of the event, Tea, Coffee, Juice, Sandwiches and Buns etc. West Down Wheelers would encourage as many as possible from the cycling community to take part and show their support for this event.

First leisure run of the year 8-)Who's all doin this....done it last yr and is an excellant run with a great spread after...hope to see ya's all there

think il give it a miss. going to keep legs fresh for the u23 training day on sunday.

I'll be there deek as apparently I'm not eligible for the U23 training day?? why.. I'm not quite sure. I'm gonna ride over I think will be passing anahilt to pick up the boyos in the morning if anyone else fancies it in the morning post here

Yeowww...Baiies goin for the ton!:....must be all that midweek trainin..gonna put us u-23s to shame ......might ride over if I get a lift home although 65ml.is more than enough for me

After weeks of looking forward to this event I can't do it 'cause of a packed in knee, so I won't be there sadly Hoping I can still do this U23 training day though!

decided against it deek, I'll give you a lift home if you like, cant be doin more than 300 a week at the min its too early lol
