I've just discovered Strava in the last few days. It's an online community site for uploading GPS files from your garmin or phone or whatever. In that respect it is nothing new. However it will pinpoint categorized hills, or any segment of road that you or another user has highlighted on a certain route, and then search the records of every user who has ridden that exact route and create a leader board of your time over that section of road. I've set up a Club page for anyone who perhaps rides and records rides on their GPS device: www.strava.com/clubs/dromara-cc-2885It's worth checking out. You can't beat competing with people on the internet you have never met

thats a good wee site Mr Kellet, but dont for one minute think I'm putting my stats up against all you hill climbers Don't Worry Gary, I have created a segment from the Nat speed limit out of Ballynahinch to the nat speed limit end going into Carryduff... and I'm in 2nd place already, on my own flipping segment. Its perfect for a powerhouse rouleur like yourself. app.strava.com/segments/865120A whole minute and a half off the pace, flips sake. Can you upload from the map my ride app on you fone The lad who is beating me at my own game in that link above uses Endomondo on his phone I think to record rides.

Deek if you view your track/course on the MapMyRide website there is a link below the map saying "Export Data". Save it as a .gpx file and then upload that manually to Strava.
Bit of a pain in the hole so the app might be easier going forward.
