Julie takes a tumble on the Belfast peaks

An MTB run was on today over the Belfast Hills. Julie and Andrea were at this. Julie took a big tumble 2 hours into the run. Took 90 minutes to get her off the mountain as they were so remote. Search and rescue team required. Julie lay immobile in the snow the whole time. Hypothermic on admission to hospital at 1 pm. Poor girl was in agony. T7 and T11 query fracture (spinal). MRI scan in the morning. On morphine at the moment.



Terrible news on a really cold day. Wish her a speedy recovery.

Heard from Julie that the MRI scan has shown no broken bones.
