This Thursday is a short but perhaps not so sweet effort consisting of up to 2 minutes of climbing prowess (dependant on how quick you can get to the top) at Begney Hill in Dromara village. The last burst before the winter training (or cyclo-cross racing!!!) begins or practise before the main Hill Climb at Slieve Croob. As per tradition, we can then head into Square One for a refreshing beverage afterwards. The course can be found hereThe Course Record for a Dromara man is held by Zak Hanna - 55.9 secs with the ladies record held by Lisa Millar at 1:25.7 Only a handful of marshals are required for this, but definitely a timekeeper at the top and bottom of the 0.25 mile climb. So far I have volunteering: Colin McGready

Always a tough event. Stayed dry. Well done the two lads for trying it twice. Thanks to Colin McG and David B for starting the riders at the bottom of the hill. Apologies for forgetting the cups tonight. I really fancied a tea after the event.
