Rnd 21: Legacurry

Good news you don't have to suffer alone this Thursday but instead you get to suffer with a group. Legacurry Road Race - The Route is here.
Parking will be opposite the hockey club in the lay-by on the comber road.

Race starts at 7pm but sign on will start around 6:30pm. We will need plenty of marshals for the final club Road Race of this year, if you can ask friends/family to help out we really appreciate it.

Lead car and Chief Marshal: David Dickson
3 laps, hoping to have three groups (group 1, group 2, scratch) unless lots of local clubs and unattached arrive - then a super scratch may form. Groups and Handicaps may change depending on wind, numbers, temperature, amount of moaning, color of the sky, number of available timing fairies.

If we do not get the proposed number of marshals by Wednesday 6pm we will try and switch the event to be the Hillsboro-Ballynahinch Time Trial that was postponed at the start of the fixture list.

This was meant to be the best evening of the week! It started off fine, we even got the first lap ALMOST done before the rain hit. Sharp and heavy. Yuck.
Thankfully it cleared up for the last lap and we ended up with a nice evening for the tea/coffee and snacks.

A great turn out of riders and marshals for the last club road race of the season. Many thanks to the joined up volunteer team from Dromara and Dromore CC as well as those who are not part of either club.

A big thanks to all the volunteers tonight for sacrificing their time on a briefly wet night so some of us could race. I also would like to thank Dromore for helping us out and in particular Andy Liggett for arranging for the last minute cover so we had enough marshals!

We will have something for the inter-club league which I think has been refreshing and beneficial to the calendar, more on that to follow sometime soon. Here is the Dromara League standings:
