Club league round 8 - Change of venue - Balinderry Road!

This weeks instalment has fell onto our reserve choice due to a hindrance regarding bureaucratic forms that apply to an Act from the 80's..

Moving on this is another new course that has been scouted, it is located in Lisburn. The link below provides some details contained in the Risk Assessment:

We require more marshals for the event to go ahead tomorrow night, there is a bridge before the 2 mile point that looks like 3 people will be needed. Can you put your name down if you are available to help out - thanks.

A new time trial course!! Reasonably flat, good road surface, relatively quiet. Feedback seems positive. Times looking good too for the 24 riders who took part. Gavin had a puncture and had to wait until Chris returned to get a wheel to take part himself.

Thanks to the marshals at the bridge - Marek and James B and to the marshals at the turn - Barry K and Brett A.

In reality, we were short on marshals. We needed 3 at the turn and 3 at the bridge. Also for next year, we shouldn't fill the footpath with the cars. We can park around the industrial estate instead.
