West to East in two days on two wheels Brand new for 2016 - Ireland's Coast to Coast Cycle Sportive, a two day event on two wheels from Enniscrone, Sligo, to Newcastle Co Down, taking in some fantastic road surfaces, stunning vistas through Sligo, Leitrim, Fermanagh, Armagh, and the epic undulations of the Mourne Mountains in Co. Down. Designed to be a challenge for all types of cyclist, this event will be a partner event to the legendary Coast 2 Coast Multi Sport race, so riders on the course may be fellow Sportive cyclists, or one of the teams on the Multisport race. Fully supported with Feed Stations, the event leaves the Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone on 14th May alongside the two day Multipart event, cycling 150km (approx) along the stunning Sligo coastline, through Leitrim, taking in picturesque villages such as Drumshambo and Ballinamore, Ballyconnell, before crossing the border into Fermanagh and stopping for the night in the Share Centre. Here, sportivers can avail of the accommodation - dinner, bed and breakfast for a fee of £30, or can choose to stay elsewhere to reconvene in the morning. On Day 2, sportive cyclists will depart nice and early, at their leisure between 7am & 9am, and cycle the 150km from Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh to Newcastle Co Down. The multisport race will be ahead of the cycling event on day 2, but you will meet them again on the mountain roads of the Mournes. There will be a feed station every 25km, with the final feed station being in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. From here, the sportive will navigate through the village of Rostrevor, and begin the final ascent along quiet, mountain roads, and finish on by the sea in Newcastle Co Down. 26Extreme
