This Thursday is the 16 / 25 mile time trial on the Banbridge Road from the horseshoe bend outside Castlewellan to Banbridge. Map: www.mapmyride.com/gb/castlewellan-nir/25-mile-tt-castlewellan-to-banbridge-route-2885150Medals: Gold for those getting under one hour, silver for those finishing in 1 hour 5 minutes and bronze for those finishing in 1 hour 10 minutes. However, you can't get a medal of the same colour you got before!! We'll need 2 timekeepers, 1 bike holder and 7 marshals. Apply within. Currently I have: Brendan D, Stephen I, Ivan B, Gavin M, Chris M, Mike B, Rayme, Gary G Anymore fancy marshalling? For those not TT'ing we are looking a few extra volunteers to mark the hilly route out. You get to finish at the start/finish so tea and biscuits will be available

Bart/Gary, thanks for offering to help out. Please turn up as usual at the start, and if we have enough marshals for the TT I'll provide paint, stencils and route info for you to do a bit of road marking while the TT is on.
Cheers.

It was back to the Castlewellan area for another time trial, this time for the 16 or 25 mile TT. With road marking still to be done on the Hilly we were a little short on marshals but many thanks to those who did come along to make the event happen and to those guys who went out and got the route marking sorted for Sunday. (Get entered if you haven't done so already)! Thanks to the timekeepers - Ronnie S and Neill C Thanks to the marshals at McCoys garage - Mike B and Stephen I Thanks to the marshals in Banbridge - Raymund M and Gavin M A dry evening with little wind. Perfect conditions. Brendan D had flown in his supporters from across the pond and bought along his new born (who slept through his performance!!) Results below. Well done the Duff man. The "potential medals" are shown as well. If you have not won this medal for this distance before, then you will be awarded it at the club's Christmas dinner/Awards night. You don't get the same medal twice. I know what you are saying. Surely Zak H didn't just do the 16. But he did. And don't call me Shirley! Something about it being too long for him this time of year, blah, blah, blah.

If I enjoyed time trialling I might do a 25 but until such times I don't like them enough to do one
