A new race circuit for the club but one that has been used for open-road races in the past.
A challenging circuit but the corners were very busy. Hearing about near misses is not good.

Only 26 taking part tonight but we had an army of volunteers on the ground. Many, many thanks to you all.

What happened to big barry kellet the weapons grade commuter?

Some dangerous and reckless cycling tonight during the race and by experienced riders who should know better. Those who tried to overtake the car on the approach to Legacurry x roads should reflect on their actions. There were no circumstances in which that would have been the right thing to do and as it transpired the car was turning right so it was definitely not going to end well.

The irony is that there was no need to make any effort to pass the car at all, group 1 was 20m ahead and it was lap2!

All of this cycling lark is only a bit of crack and not worth getting hurt at. I count everyone out there tonight as a friend and I prefer that we all go home in one piece if you don't mind.

Just because you have the 'race head' on don't make decisions that you know are crazy..
