For anyone who isn't already aware, the Coastal is back for 2015, and will be on Sunday 10th May 2015. More information here. Some of the proceeds from this year's event will be going to the chosen charity of the new Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh, which for 2015 is the Mary Peter's Trust. This charity was created to provide support for aspiring young athletes from Northern Ireland. To publicise the event and make people aware of the charity donation, we are having a photo call with the Mayor on Friday 17th April at 4.30pm at the Lisburn Civic Centre. We are looking for some club members to come along in club kit, with their bikes, for this photo. Please post here if you can come!

Thanks Graham. We have a few volunteers for that one already; would there be any chance of you getting to the start for 8 and helping to direct cars?

Many thanks to all the riders for supporting our Coastal Tour today. Final numbers to be confirmed.
We were very lucky with the weather, with the predicted rain arriving on time at 3 pm. Some of the riders were not so lucky and arrived home soaking wet.
A HUGE thanks to all the volunteers for helping out today. I'm going to have a go at naming them. Apologies in advance if I miss someone. Sign on crew: Ruth, Graham B, Lisa, Bernie, Linda F Bar tidy up crew: All the above + Geoffrey M, Eddie and Deek (who also did the announcements at the start) Car park attendants - Graham S and Davy R. Thanks to the mayor of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for coming down to start the day. A big thanks to the motorbikers for supporting the riders. A big thanks to the road markers for doing a great job. And thanks for the stencil maker (Davy?) The farmer for the use of the field to park in To ChainReaction Cycles for the support van and goodie bags The church/community committee for the use of the church hall - with Seamus on site helping out. Davy R for directing in the riders. Richard C for the upcoming photos. To my folks and Emma J for the catering support. To the sandwich supplier - great job. To the committee of the Dromara Village Football club for the use of the facility and the bar staff on the day. To Emma J, Bernie and Graham for dishing out tea, coffee and sandwiches at the end. To the PR sub committee for their work in promoting the event.
Many, many thanks everyone. A job well done.
Now I want your thoughts, suggestions and ideas for improving the event for next year. While it is in your head, drop me an email (martin@dromaracc.co.uk). Also tell me if I missed someone above.
