Back for the MTB tow path run on Thursday night.
Meet 6:50 pm in the car park at the Civic Centre in Lisburn.
Head off at 7pm down the tow path towards Belfast. Some off-road cycling around the trails.
Back for around 9pm.
Big lights needed + usual spares, pumps etc.
Weather looks like dry to start with heavy rain to finish. 20 mph winds. But given the amount of stuff I ate over Christmas I'm going out anyway!!

I was going to woose out and go on the turbo instead, but if you're going to brave the elements then I guess I should do the same....

Just Graham and me out last Thursday night.
A lovely evening, bright moonlight. A good pace down the path, crossed the footbridge, headed for Giant's Ring (no race across as the ground is covered in cow output). Down to Minnowburn and headed through Shaw's towards the forest with no trees. A good spin around here with Graham powering off up the climbs. Back to the tow path and headed back to Shaw's. Very little waiting time when there are just two of us. Up Cardiac Hill with Graham miles ahead and me dying a death after Pain Tree. Regathered, and then a spin around the trails. Back to the tow path, with Graham getting stuck on the steel bridge with his wide handlebars. A steady spin home into a head wind with sharp rain. Back for 8:50.
Animal count - two rabbits, both trying to play chicken with my front wheel. The path was very quiet. Hardly anyone out. Glad we went out though. Perhaps more will join us next week.

Given the forecast for tonight, I will be impressed if any of you go out.
