Tow path run on tonight. Meet at Civic Centre 6:50 for 7pm start.

3 out on the tow path last night. Stava King Garry W, Michael "20 year old MTB" H and me. We all cycled down to the Civic Centre then headed off just after 7pm. Nice steady run down with a few walkers and other cyclists out. Nice mild evening. Crossed over the footbridge and headed for the Ring. No big sprint across as there were cows in the field so we went around the embankment (slippery). Over and down into Minnowburn. Off we went towards the place that used to have trees. A good spin through here with Michael keeping up well despite never riding in there before. A charge up Vomit Ridge which I managed to beat Garry up. Overjoyed!!! He is human! Around the very mucky loop and this time Garry was first back to the car park. Exit and back to the tow path. Headed for Cardiac Hill. Michael still smiling when we got up to the top. Garry up first of course. No shadow men tonight - there might have been a convention on somewhere else!!  Around the trail centre. Good fun as always. Exit and through Lady Dixon and then back to the tow path. A nice steady run. We all left at Lambeg and then headed our separate ways. It was getting cold at the end of the evening. A great night out on the bike. Hope the weather keeps up and that more will join us. This week animal watch - 1 cat, several live rabbits but on didn't do so well when it unfortunately ran in front of my bike  |
