What a year it has been! Little did I realise when I was bending Mr. Chairman’s ear at the last Christmas party that we would have half a dozen women plus at almost every league event. Thursday nights became as much about friendship and socialising as cycling but as an added bonus, everyone got faster!
On behalf of all the women I would like to thank the committee and EVERYONE in the club for the phenomenal support and encouragement we’ve received in what has been the biggest year for women’s cycling in the club. With this came just the right amount of banter (or in my case, abuse!!) and a lot of craic. From putting the calendar together, doing risk assessments, marking courses, organisation on the night, posting results, writing reports and making tea and coffee, a LOT of hard work has gone into the league and we would like to thank everyone involved. Here’s to more of the same next year!
