Quick work related plug…I’m involved in the organisation of the Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive in Ballycastle, taking place on Saturday 13th September and I was hoping some DCC members can take part. This year’s event will again offer 3 routes (35miles, 80miles and 115miles) around the stunning Causeway Coast and Glens of Antrim as well as the gruelling Torr Head road for those participating in the 80 and 115 mile route. If you are interested in taking part here is a 10% discount code to use when entering online - SKP350. Most of the DCC ladies have already signed up and are hoping to make a weekend out of it! More info on the event can be found here - www.giantscausewaycoastsportive.com/ Thanks in advance Bev Attachments:

I’m signed up for the 115 miles route. I've done it the last couple of years it's a well run event. I'd be keen to join up with a club run.

Some of the girls are doing it. Not sure about everyone but I'm doing the 80.

Malcolm, Chris and I have signed up the 115 route as well.Hopefully we can get a few more bodies and ride as a club. The current Mrs Wallace (Cathy) and two friends are making their Spotive debut and doing the shorter route. Should be a good day.

Did the 115 miles in 2011, long day in the saddle. The lumpy bits at the end are fun. Doing the easy one this year. See you all there.

Hi I have signed up for 80 mile run. Want to have legs to do Torr Head at the end. Staying up for weekend and hoping to attend after event if anyone's staying? Enjoyed the 'Super Sunday' run with the club yesterday which was supposed to be training. While not yet a member, would appreciate the company (tow) if there is a group riding the 80 mile route?

What time suits for the "grand depart" for those doing the long route?

Start times vary for each of the distances but how about everyone participating meet at registration at 745am for a team photo and then we can discuss the depart en mass or in groups.
Weather looks good - East Coast Crew, looks like an early start Like 545 depart to make it up with a bit of time for 745 - Bruyneil your car or mine?

Start times for each route Long route: 7.30-8.15 Med route: 8.30-9.00 Short route: 9.15-9.45
7.45 for the team photo sounds good. Those who are starting later could get breakfast, for details see the information PDF Bev sent.
