For anyone interested in working on their fitness and off road skills during the winter, I will be out most thursday nights. Started tonight in tollymore on a solo run, trails in great condition.
Every other week including Next week is Belvoir/Mary Peters/Lady Dixon etc, weather and conditions on the ground permitting.
Looking to hit a few different venues including Tollymore mainly, Craigavon lakes, castlewellan, Tievenadarragh etc

Would be keen to join you but I need to upgrade lights if the plan is to tackle trails. What are you guys running? Any thoughts?

Would be keen to join you but I need to upgrade lights if the plan is to tackle trails. What are you guys running? Any thoughts? I have a set of AyUp lights Brian. Got them away back in 2007 I think and they have lasted well. They are a fair bit more expensive now that they were then though. I have posted them back for their upgrade service to the latest LEDs and a new Driver to boost their brightness so I am hoping they are back for this thursday. If you want to spend as little as possible then the Deal Extreme Lights as John posted up are very bright for the money. One of them was brighter than one of my AyUp lamps with the old LEDs in them. More than enough light for offroading. I went for the AyUps originally as I needed something with good burn times that was going to be super reliable as I commute all year round and didn't want my lights failing on me when buzzing along the main Belfast road out of Ballynahinch

stay away from the deal extreme lights - they are bright right nuff - but terrible quality. got about 3 months out of them and customer service is pretty poor too. got exposure strada mk 2 for commuting up and down the belfast road - hope to try them out in tollymore etc some evening.

might be-depends what time I can get out from work. Just to keep you posted-Castleward trails are open again (just the stretch along the wall on Audleystown Rd is still closed off).

Yea Deek, I'll PM you the Paypal address so you don't get hit with the extra charge for leaving it to pay on the night. If a few are coming it's probably best to park up at Moneyscalp carpark. The Burren road at the back gates has been double yellow lined and had cones out this last wee while. Park here
