The David McCall Foundation annual Youth Reliability Trial is next Saturday March 22nd and based this year at the St.Johns Hall in Crumlin with the 1st group leaving at 10.30, the hall will be open for sign on and get together from 09.00. There will be 2 routes of 50 miles for the U16's and 40 miles for the U14's.
Entry is £5 per child with adults free and refreshments and food are provided free for everyone from 10 am until 2pm.
The event will be marshalled by lead and following cars, adult cyclists, motorbike outriders and a broom wagon. Everyone who takes part on the road must sign on. The routes will be clearly marked on the road with arrows and yellow 'YR'.
The hall has separate changing facilities and toilets a large assembly hall and plenty of parking space but no showers.
The event will also mark the official launch of 'The Cycling Ulster Youth Academy' who's chairman Michael McKenna will outline its future plans and the races which will form the basis for the David McCall Foundation Youth League this season, parents will also be advised on how they and their children can get involved.
Safety is our major concern for our events and all children must have parental consent to enter and be properly attired. St. Johns Hall is beside the mini roundabout on the south side of Crumlin.
