The club will be running a mountain bike race in Kilbroney Park (Rostrevor) on 9 March 2014.
The course will be set up on Friday 7 March with the HQ etc set up on Saturday. Practice opens on Saturday afternoon.
The race is on Sunday with sign on opening at 09:30, first race at 10:30. Final race at 2pm finishing by 4pm. Clean up then needed.
We need lots of volunteers to help out to deliver a high standard event.
3/4 on sign on. 16-20 marshals (especially for 11:45 - 4pm) 3/4 timekeepers.
There will be outside caterers on site, with the downhill race going on at the same time.
A great day out in a superb location.

DAY: Friday 7th March TASK: Walk the course and mark it out with tape. Light raking back of twigs and branches TIME: From 10:30 - 16:30 (until we get finished - could be earlier)
DAY: Saturday 8th March TASK: Re-walk the course putting up arrows and signage - check all tape in place. Get bridges put in place. Set up HQ in the caravan park with regards to barrier fences. Practice open at 2pm - 5pm TIME: From 10:00 - 17:00 (ish)
DAY: Sunday 9th March TASK: Set up gazebos for sign on and for timekeeping. Allocate marshals. Get bodies out onto the course. Sign on open at 09:30 First race at 10:30 (Under 6s) Under 8s (10:45) Under 10s (11:00) Under 12s (11:15 - 11:40) Prize giving (11:45) Senior 4s, U14, U16 (12:00 - 13:15) Prize giving (13:40) Senior 1, 2, 3 (14:00 - 15:45) Prize giving (16:00) Tidy up course - until dark
DAY: Monday 10th March TASK: Walk course collecting any remaining tape and rubbish. TIME: 10:30

Martin am happy to use the pickup for lifting cones tape and signs from the course after the race if needed, it would be handy to have it parked in the camping site took nearly 30min last year to get from the carpark to the track.

Brilliant event for the club today, massive number of participants and a really good hard race for everyone. Cementing the clubs reputation for putting on a quality race day. Big thanks to those who were able to come down and help out over the past few days. I'll not even start to thank individual names as I will only forget someone. You know who you are. And you all did a superb job.
