It's great to see new faces taking part in the CX Support races and for those wanting to continue dipping their toe in the MTB race scene, check out the XMTB Spring League this February in Ormeau Park. This year we have split the Adult race into two categories in addition to the full support of youth races. Prize giving takes place after the final round, with the main prize a Specialized Mountain Bike - donated by McConvey Cycles Ormeau Road. For more information check out our website or Ulster XC. A.

I think its a great idea that the race has been split into A and B categories, this should help encouarge new people into racing. And the raffle gives us all a chance to win something... For a change...

The Spring League has always been about beginners and mainly the youth but racers use it to test their fitness for the race season ahead. The way it was going, there was no way a noobie was going to get close to the top 10 so we've decided to create a second category - plus the numbers are increasing exponentially each year and you could probably link 60 riders wheel-to-wheel around one lap . Carnage! Raffle takes place along with prize-giving after round 3 in the Ozone. The big prize is the Specialized with various other smaller prizes in the build up. You must be present to collect your prize, else it gets redrawn.
