After using Bioracer over the past year or so, it's become apparent that garment quality and customer service just hasn't been what we'd expected from such a large and well respected label, so it's was decided by the committee that we should shop around and see what else is out there. A few companies had actually forwarded mailshots to Martin, to which, pick of the bunch was Pactimo, I'd called to find out more info, and from the outset, I was very impressed by their efficiency and professional attitude. Pactimo are based in Colorado, and offer a new approach to ordering bespoke cycle clothing, by setting up online stores, for individual clubs. They distribute in UK & Ireland through Digdeep coaching, a cycle specific training company, based in Talbot Street, Belfast. Stephen Gallagher is one of the directors for Digdeep, and it's been through himself that we've got the ball rolling with Pactimo...
Last month a few committee members were asked to head down to meet Stephen, check over some kit, and see what they had to offer the club. The operation is all very simple and will take a lot of the pain out of bulk ordering and chasing payments for Martin. Basically this is how it'll work...
Once designs are confirmed (kit design is not changed), Pactimo will create an online team store that we can log into using our own password. This store will not be open all the time, but will be opened when the club requests it at various times throughout the year... for instance, if we asked for it to be opened for the last 2 weeks in October, we will get clearance then dates will be posted on the message board, giving people ample time to place their own order over that period.
The first time the club places it's order, it must order at least 5 of any one item that we've added to our store - THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE FIRST TIME THIS ITEM IS ORDERED. Once we reach the end of the open store period, the store will close, and orders will be processed. Delivery time from store closure is 5 weeks.
Pactimo are also supplying a fit kit, which will contain every garment throughout their range, in every size.
Before the store opens, there will be 2 fit nights arranged.
First night is on Friday 11th October, at 7.30, Digdeep premises, Belfast. Second night will be Friday 18th October in Dromara (venue & time TBA).
Stephen would like as many members as possible to attend the first fitting in Belfast, as I'm told that he should have a Dromara kit delivered. IT IS ADVISABLE THAT YOU GET TO ONE OF THESE NIGHTS. During these nights there will be the opportunity to talk through the online ordering setup, and hopefully we'll have a laptop station at the Dromara night, for those who have problems getting online, or those who are just not familiar with the internet.
PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS OF THE FITS NIGHTS TO THOSE YOU KNOW WHO DON'T ACTIVELY USE THE MESSAGE BOARD.
Once the store is open go to www.pactimo.com then click on 'sign in/team stores' (top of page). Once on this page, simply enter team password (under team store sign in)... this will take you to our store...
The store will list all our garments, and will give you the opportunity to select which size you prefer, simply enter the quantity you require and add to basket.
Once you have added all items that you require, simply view basket, check it over, making sure sizes are correct, then check out using credit card.
Hey Presto... Your own order will be wrapped and labeled for yourself, then posted to Martin, within 5 weeks - Pactimo are looking at sending to individual addresses in 2014!
