Birthday run is leavin 9.30 route is Kinallen ,Katesbridge Rathfriland Spelga Castlewellan home around 50ml then im for Square 1 for a ween a pints and watch the 1st hilly stage of the tour.C u there

Teenwolf's birthday run headed for the hills, spelga and then up the hurt hills to the back of Dree, back to Square one for some liquid refreshment. The auld wolfman was lookin sprightly all day, even called the missus in for a replacement bike. Next year the new generation may be takin over, Zak was up there all day. Great old style run in the hills well done to Pete who hung in rightly all day and then left pints in the well when he left...all good.
Good to see the Voeckler fella doin what comes natural.
The new Board rocks with new smiley face options how do I get my old Avitar back???

;D ;D Fantastic day in the hills with everyone riding strong from the start ...... Early points going to Deek in the 30 into Rathfriland and still riding for the points on the hills ...... ZAKO couldn't beat the oul fella on spelga or the back of Dree on the way home but as they went into the final climb home after leaving the plough my money was on ZAKO to move in front of Deek on the GC ........who won the last big climb to take an overall win  ........ waiting on the stage results to come in from the Rib!! |

I beat oul Teenwolf home, the oul bai couldnt follow me as I attacked outside Finnis ;D that tenner is mine!

Me, Teenwolf, Kevin McD, Paul Jess, Gavin, Chris, Craig McD, Peter Morgan and Peter Bryson met in Dromara for oul Teenwolf's birthday run, which headed for the Mourne hills ;D We left Dromara and headed towards Katesbridge via Gall Bog, and I got the 30 into Katesbridge  after Teenwolf had a mechanical with his break cables we headed to Moneyslane to wait on the team car coming with a spare bike, and after that we headed to Rathriland, and approching the bottom of Rathriland hill Teenwolf took a chance and galloped towards the 30, only to be beaten by me ;D just about got into Rathriland after that  Hilltown was next, then we went to Spelga Dam for a hard session of climbing Teastop at Meelmore for a bacon bap, fries and cappucinos, although Smiler couldnt get a cappucino for 50p and had to settle for a quid  Headed towards home via Castlewellan with some class descents especially Castlewellan, and home by the Hilly TT route (Clonvaraghan road) which was done at everyones own pace  Down Dree Hill flat out and the last 30 into Dromara was won by Gavin  Class run, I finished with 54 mile 16 average ;D Teenwolf only beat me up those hills (Spelga and Clonvaraghan) because I let him!!! ;D Few pints of coke (not Guinness or Magners, we're proper cyclists ) were downed whilst watching Luis Leon Sanchez win stage 9 of Le Tour, Flecha and Hoogerland get mowed down by a car and Thomas Voecklar take a very well deserved Yellow Jersey ;D The final battle between me and Teenwolf up home was won by Me after I dropped him outside Finnis and powered home ;D Class day on the bike |
