CHANGED TO 31ST!!! Hi all,
Next DCC Super Sunday club road ride is planned for 31st August. Please put this in your diaries and try to come along!!!
Start will be 10am in Dromara, and depending on numbers we will try to organise A and B groups, with everyone riding together for the first 10 miles or so. Routes to be confirmed, but will aim for around 30-40 miles for the B group and around 50 for the A group, with the intention being that we all get back to Dromara around 1pm.
As usual, refreshments in Square one afterwards will be optional. If there is enough interest I might even organise some food as well
Please post below if you intend to come
Cheers!

Original date of 24th clashed with Lap the Lough and Ulster XC, so re-arranged for the 31st instead

As a bit of a change from the usual Co. Down routes, the proposed plan for this Sunday takes us west into Co. Antrim and Co. Armagh. Everyone follows the same route (hopefully riding together for the first few miles), then we part company to allow the A-group to stretch their legs for a bit before re-joining the same route back to Dromara. Distances are 37 miles for the B group, 46 miles for the A group. Plan is to be back at Square One for 1pm for some refreshments. We won't be having coffee stops mid-route, so make sure you bring some energy bars!!
B-route here A-route here
I may tweak the routes before Sunday to increase the difference between the lengths of the two routes, so please check back before then.

Hi not a club member at present but was hoping to tag along with a view to joining maybe? (Disappointed in no coffee though!)

Hi Gareth, you would be very welcome to join us on Sunday. We normally do have a coffee stop mid way on our Sunday rides, but because of the larger number of riders on the "Super Sunday" and the difficulty in synchronising two groups of mixed abilities to arrive at the stop at the same time, we have our rest stop at the end, back in Dromara. It also allows some members with family commitments to get home earlier. Anyway, hope to see you on Sunday! If you need to contact me nearer the time, just drop me a text or call me on 07714721376. Cheers

We'll leave the routes as they are for tomorrow. I'll bring along a few print outs of the routes in the morning. Weather forecast is looking dry until 4pm, so fingers crossed!

Thanks for the hospitality yesterday. Enjoyed morning out in the sun (burnt). Special thanks to two guys who waited for me to rebuild bike after pothole and then had to chase down fast group.
