Hi all, anyone planning to head out this Sunday on the Lazy Run, weather permitting .....? Think a few of the girls are up for another ride again.

2 Sundays in a row Ruth, Im impressed. Don,t think we will need sun cream this week, might be the odd shower in the afternoon. Think will keep it a bit shorter, about 30 miles... click on map. Coffee in Castlewellan.

Several club groups out today in windy but bright and mostly dry conditions. Marty, Zak, Kevin, Ronnie and I cycled over to the QUB sports centre where we met up with Peter B at the start of the Phoenix CC Reliability trial. Zak, Ronnie and I headed out in the A group, whilst Peter, Kev and Marty went in the B group. As it turned out both groups set a very fast pace, especially given the 20mph+ headwind on the first leg from Belfast out to Moira. A tough test for most of us, but good training for the season ahead. The 10am "Lazy Sunday" group consisted of Big Jim, Michael McG, Ruth B, Beverley P, David Hughes and Anne Annett. Their route took them to Castlewellan via Kinallen, Katesbridge, Moneyslane and the horseshoe bend. A slap up breakfast in Bilbo's was the half time treat this week, providing energy for the return route via Drumkeerah. In true "Lazy Sunday" fashion the morning's activities were rounded off with a second round of coffees in Square One, Dromara. A third group consisting of Eddie, Bernie, Linda and Tayra, met in Hillsborough for a gentle spin out to the West, although with today;s windy conditions there was no such thing as an easy route. I don't know the details of their route, but coffee was had in Moira (with entertainment provided by the splintered RT groups passing through). Hopefully see you all out next week...

Yes another good Sunday cycle and the weather was as i requested, ( good to have friends ) The drag up Ballywilwill for 2 miles was the worst, the smell of coffee a few miles away was great motivation. Hoping a route for next week will be suitable for us all. The rolling hills in County Down cannot be avoided.
