I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared of the Sportive. However I will probably be joining you Gary!

Not sure if this road is on the routes this year, but the Tory Brae road in Augnaskeagh which is used after descending the Rib and just before hitting the Windy Gap had been recently resurfaced with the big chunky loose stones, rode up it the other night and had a few hairy moments along the way. Might need to find another road to take the riders to the Windy Gap, I have one suggestion in mind...

And the Carrigagh road towards Dromara after the Legananny Dolmen has been been covered in fresh slurry and dung which is showing no sign of clearing before Sunday.

Some years back I stopped riding the wicklow because I heard all money lifted stayed with the club, not a penny to charity.
Now I am hearing the same stories regarding Dromara CC and that not a penny raised at the Coastal and Hilly last year went to Charity.
While I understand club need money to survive it would be nice so see what percentage goes where. After all it is not uncommon to see people giving extra or sending along money if they can't make it on the day If the money is to be kept please state it on the posters and entry forms

Absolute classic video! Glad I had a birthday party to go to. I would have been at the bottom of at least one of those pile ups. Hope the rest of the hills weren't as slippy and difficult.

After all it is not uncommon to see people giving extra or sending along money if they can't make it on the day If the money is to be kept please state it on the posters and entry forms "Clivec", our posters are always clear. If it is an event to raise money for charity then that is stated on the posters and on the website along with the name of the charity. No one was giving any "extra" at today's event. There was no charity logos in place. Today's event was to raise money for the club so that more money can be given to charity at our Charity fundraising cycle events at the end of the year. (Happy to provide figures). Hopefully you are "hearing" that today's event was great value for money and thoroughly enjoyed by those who came along to take part. If you have any further queries please feel free to email me martin@dromaracc.co.ukI hope this has answered your query.

Great day out in the hills, well done to all on the Sportive and to those on the other distances, never easy. Great Cornmill video Fritz, thanks to Brendan, Bernie, Martin and all the volunteers who make this and all Dromara CC's events happen. Thanks also to Dromara FC and everyone who got out of bed on a not so good morning.

A brutally tough but fantastic day. The sportive really was the hardest event I have taken on. Well done Gary, Ivan, Marty, Davey and any of those others who completed it. I'm sure the other events were great too. Truly was a well organised event, well worth your money with plenty of grub and hospitality at the tea stops. Definitely will participate next year, except that time in the 85km or 125km. Haha.
