Now hopefully you all know that Dromara CC are running a cyclo-cross race on Sunday 6 November 2011 at Moira Demesne.
Naturally we will need a big turn out of club members to help put on a great race.
Off the top of my head we'll need Set up crew [7am - 10] Sign on team [9am - 1 pm] Marshals [10:30 - 2 pm] Catering team [11am - 3pm] Clean up squad [2pm - 3:30 pm]
Can you post here if you can help out?
I'm also looking for any old carpet you might have. If you can cut it into lengths 3 metres wide that would be perfect. I'll sort out getting it dumped afterwards.

Looking good on the old telly box martin! I can help out, but was also looking to race (not sure which race yet ) So perhaps setting up and clean up for me?

Actually - Looking at the start time for setting up, just stick me down to marshall. I'll race Ormeau Park on my franken bike instead.

I'm about to lift some old carpet so I'll keep it for you. I'm going to do the cx race but happy to help out with set up and/or sign on and/or clean up!

Outline of what we have to do on Sunday. Set up the big gazebo + the 3 smaller gazebos. Set up tables, lay out sign on sheets and man the sign on tent. Set up 1.5 miles of course, fully poled and taped with signage / arrows. Set up jumps, banners, flags Sort out car parking Get PA trailer in place and first aiders into position. All ready for riders to practice on the course and for the first race at 10:40. We then have to sort out the catering, lay out the food, sort out hot food and serve tea/coffee all day and soup etc after the races finish. Then after 2:30 we got to take it all down, pack up, clean up and go home. It's going to be busy. So if you can spare some time please come along and help out.

thats a busy looking day you have there martin , around 20ish on the helpers list so far , surely that cant be right in a club this size , any updates ??

Final appeal for helpers Also a reminder that if you have any old carpet, we could do with some. Also, if you are racing, please pre-register before 9 pm tonight to help save time on the day. Looks like it might be a dry weekend.

Got the best text ever last night "Ur on tv". The cyclo-cross report was shown on the BBC newsline program. It is now up on iplayer www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mvxy. We are on between 22:00 and 23:35 minutes into the progam.
