Good man Davy. We will need to know for definite in the next week or two.
Re the non-cyclists, Peter might be bringing his wife and kids. No other wives, husbands, significant others as yet, but sure you might start a trend!

Im going out on 26th with Ballymena gang so will miss the Dromara trip. I'm sure I'll get a bit of stick for this but I'm a big girl so I can hadle that! In an ideal world I'd love go go for the two weeks but that wd be pushing it! If no-one minds me putting my tuppenth worth in, just to say, I've stayed at Pollensa Park and it's great value and really handy to the beach. I think it's really important to get your flights booked asap, as the price goes up very quickly.

Just checked and flights have already gone up a few quid, so we need to move fast to avoid any more increases. I'm happy to book the flights for others if required, but to avoid being left out of pocket, I would need money up front. I think it would be quicker and simpler for everyone to just book their own flights direct at www.jet2.com. Flight details as follows: Outbound: Belfast to Palma Sun 19th April 2015 Time: 08.00 Flight number : LS361 Return: Palma to Belfast Sun 26th April 2015 Time: 12:30 Flight number: LS362 Let me know if any problems getting booked. Please post here to confirm when you have booked your flights

Davy, most people I have spoken to are planning to hire a bike, although I think I will bring my own as I don't have much hope getting a rental bike in my size.
Stuart Hall are offering bike hire for a week for £95, but I don't know what specification that is.
Pro cycle hire seem to be one of the biggest bike hire companies (www.procyclehire.com). Their cheapest rental is 140 Euro per week. Have looked at a couple of other shops and their prices for a week range from 16 to 25 Euro per day + VAT, so similar prices.
It's £60 to bring your bike on the plane, and there is a company in Belfast that hires bike boxes for £40 a week, so it works out about the same to bring your own, however this doesn't take into account the risk of it getting damaged.

I'm bringing my own. It's cheaper and I'd rather ride my own bike. I've flown loads with bike (inc. my good carbon cyclocross bike) and have never had any problems. That was in a rubbish soft case, which I'll probably upgrade next year. I believe the handlers have all been told to be very careful with bikes because of expensive claims coming in. In terms of spec, the bikes the guys hired for last year's Majorca trip all seemed pretty decent.

I hired a decent carbon bike last year from pro cycling who I found very good to deal with. If I was hiring again (I'm bringing my own this time......great roads) I would upgrade the wheels they supplied to something like Mavic Ksyrium SLs or equivalent.
